This program will provide you with the necessary skills to provide care to an unconscious casualty in an emergency situation until the arrival of professional help.

 

Course Description

Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation is a vital skill that can save the life of a casualty when they have stopped breathing. This course focuses on practicing this skill on our special CPR mankins (adults, junior and baby mankins). The perform CPR course is conducted over 2 hours.

 

Content
Principles of First Aid, Legal issues in First Aid, examing the casualty, the chain of survival, basic life support chart, emergency action plan, managing the unconscious casualty, airway management, choking, recue breathing & chest compressions (adult, child and infant), first aid hygiene.

 

Prerequisites
Minimum age for participants is 14 years.

 

All participants should also have basic language, literacy and numeracy skills and are required to identify if they require language, literacy and numeracy support prior to enrolment.

Certificate Validity

The Nationally Recognised Provide Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certificate to valid for 12 months as recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council..

 

Accreditation
Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Attainment issued by BARS Training Australia (National Provider Number 32061) that have undergone a strict accreditation process, therefore all of the courses offered are fully accredited and the certificates received are Nationally Recognised.

 

Schedule of Fees

The scheduled fee will be paid in full on enrolment and prior to the commencement of the training program.  All fees paid will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt/tax invoice via email as proof of receipt of monies paid for access to course material and on-line tutorial support.

 

Schedule of Fees (Gold Coast)

$50 per participant (all inclusive) with all Gold Coast sessions being conducted by Garry Oliver who has over 35 years Queensland Police and Liquor Licensing experience. For group booking on the Gold Coast please send Garry an email and he will arrange sessions times to fit in with your schedule. (send email)

 

Schedule of Fees (Townsville)

$50 per participant (all inclusive) with all Townsville sessions being conducted by Garry Oliver who has over 35 years Queensland Police and Liquor Licensing experience. For group booking in Townsville please send Garry an email and he will arrange sessions times to fit in with your schedule. (send email)

 

Schedule of Fees (Cairns)

$80 per participant (all inclusive) with sessions being conducted by Troy WOODALL the owner operator of Elite Security Personnel in Cairns who has extensive experience in both the security and hospitiality industries. All training will be conducted in an appropriate training venue throughout Queensland with all required training equipment supplied by BARS Training Australia as published on the BARS Training website.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the acknowledgment of skills and knowledge held by an individual as a result of formal training, work experience and /or life experience. If you believe that you already possess some or all of the learning outcomes contained in this course and you can demonstrate current competency, then you can apply for RPL.  To register for RPL you simply contact the BARS Training Australia on 0414 527 800 or (07) 55 290834 during office hours.

 

Enrolments

Enrolment occurs through online registration and payment of course fees.  Your details are captured and stored securely, with the results of your training being linked to this enrolment information.

 

Refunds

All requests for refunds are to be made in writing on a Refund Request this form that needs to be accompanied by supporting documentation where applicable. This form can be obtained by contacting the BARS Training Australia on 0414 527 800 or (07) 55 290834 during office hours.

 

NOTE

Participants are responsible for reading all relevant materials provided on the website including the BARS Training Australia Student Handbook and the information about courses prior to enrolment. Once participants have entered their details it will be accepted by all parties that they have read the Student Handbook and agree with all the Terms and Conditions prior to commencing their training.
